Kåre Slowey is descended from a long line of skilled craftsmen. His grandfather came to New York from Norway in the 1950’s and imparted his generational knowledge and technical skill in carpentry to his family. In the 1990’s, Kåre’s father and brother started By Nature Building in the Hamptons, New York. Kåre was raised and trained on job sites, helping his father restore, and elevate historic homes. By Nature Building now lives in Calais, Maine where Kåre continues the legacy of his family’s traditional craftsmanship.
